Today's word is REMEMBER: go!!!
In my mind's eye it was only yesterday when I combed your long hair, adding braids and fancy twists on occasion. Pony tails always matching your outfit. I was so proud of your appearance as I dropped you off at school and yet I was even more proud to simply be your mom.
Nearly thirty years have passed since the days of barbies and fishing poles, a strange combination but a testament to your diverse childhood. You are now a mother to my remarkable grandchildren and I watch you take on the role of motherhood in your own way; and I am still incredibly proud to simply be your mom.
