SURPRISE!

I'm told that in the 'old days' they didn't take the cupboards all the way to the ceiling, therefore a header was built above the cabinets.

When Dwight was taking the headers down in the kitchen this is what he found.

Old bee hives!  With tons of dead bees. There were three hives and these things are huge!! Obviously the previous owners had a bee problem at some point. 

This is just ONE hive!

These hives are amazing. So many intricate tunnels and levels. I've never seen anything like this. What a crazy thing to find!
