Day 65

I’m still in Omaha and still eating cafeteria food. Yesterday it didn’t look near as appetizing to me and my choices seemed far more limited. For breakfast I had milk, a banana, and a cup of fresh fruit. Lunch was corn and brussel sprouts and although I love vegetables, I have to admit, I don’t love brussel sprouts. I tried to eat them, but could only get down a couple bites, so ended up eating only corn. Needless to say, it didn’t keep me full throughout the afternoon. For supper I had a nice lettuce salad with lots of veggies and more milk. I grabbed a banana and stuck it in my purse because I knew I’d be hungry this morning before I can get anywhere to eat again. Today my plan is to go to a ‘Whole Foods’ store I saw that is close by and I am very excited about that! I’ve never been to one, but I’ve heard so much about the chain. I’m hoping to find some “real” food that I can bring back to the hospital. I’m needing a little variety today.

  1. Yikes Mom! Sorry that you did not have a good "eating day" today! First of all, I can't believe that it is day 65! That's awesome! Secondly, I feel bad for you that you just ate corn and I got a Heath pudding parfait! Ha Ha Sorry I am rubbing it in...I don't make it any easier do I? Seriously, this has to stink for you! Are you going to still keep this up even after 100 days, or just watch what you eat and break the rules a little?? I am looking at Mr. Braylon right now...he is just sleeping away doing well! I am really excited for you to go to that whole foods store! I think you will be in heaven and find lots!!! I might try to go with you and then we can run back to the mall also and get Braylon a Husker outfit for the game today and me some more sweats from Old Navy!! :) See you soon! Love you!
