We are back from our camping trip to the lake and it was a fun time! Lots of close up family time. The first two days we were there it rained and it was pretty chilly. Instead of swim suits and shorts, we were sporting hoodies and blankets! J  With a 3 year old that has energy oozing from his pores, a 9 month old who investigates everything in sight and a 6 week old; it was pretty cozy inside the camper. But hey, memories right!
Well, I could tell you that my eating was straight and narrow and I never deviated from ‘the plan’ but that would be a bit of a falsehood. In reality the chips won out and I ate pretty much whatever I wanted while we were camping. When we arrived home, we found 3 beautiful cucumbers in the garden which we enjoyed with supper. As we all know, there is nothing like vegetables straight out of the garden.
I’ve allowed myself to stray off the path of how I first began my 100 day challenge and I want – no, I need – to get myself back on the right path again. So… I’m doing some soul searching of my own and focusing on redirecting my priorities toward what I know I need to do.
*Thought for the day*

I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And I will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do.”

  1. Ugh! I know what you mean! I always say I am going to limit myself and never do! I always wonder if we didn't foucs SO MUCH on what we aren't suppose to eat, if we would eat better naturally because we wouldn't be telling ourselves "no, no" all the time. It just seems that I am never enjoying food because I think it is something I shouldn't be eating or I am eating too much of good things. Why can't we just eat and not have to beat ourselves over it :( I hate it!

  2. Anonymous~ We're all smart people. We all KNOW what we should be eating. But if we all ate what we SHOULD be eating, there wouldn't be an issue with food! Not to mention cholesterol, obesity, etc etc. For me, it's a lifelong battle that I deal with on a daily basis. Right or wrong, that's the reality of it. Some days I'm victorious and others I'm not, but I'm determined to keep trying!! :)
