For all the teachers out there that don't think your students are listening....

While volunteering in Kindergarten today we were sounding out some new words. When we came to the word 'yam' this sweet little girl looked at me and asked, "Is the y a consonant or vowel in this word?"

(I was very impressed with that question!)
 
They ARE listening teachers!!!
